A five-day Serengeti wildlife and cultural safari takes you across the north of Tanzania to places like Lake Manyara National Park and Serengeti National Park. In the morning and afternoon, you will go on game drives in Lake Manyara and Serengeti national parks, and throughout your 5-day Tanzania safari, you will also have an authentic Maasai experience and learn about their distinctive way of life and culture.
Species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, antelopes and zebras will be seen throughout the safari in the Manyara and Serengeti National Parks, among others.
In Arusha, the safari will commence and end.
Day 1: Pick up from your hotel and drive to Lake Manyara National Park.
Your guide will pick you up from your Arusha hotel and welcome you for your safari. You will also have a short briefing and start your journey to Lake Manyara National Park. You will have a stopover in the city of Mto wa Mbu on your way to the National Park. You will be driven to your lodge for check-in and for lunch.
After lunch, you will engage in a game drive in Lake Manyara national park where you will look out for wildlife species such as tree climbing lions, elephants, lions, monkeys, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, giraffes, among others. You will go back to your lodge after the game player for dinner and overnight in Nsya lodge.
Transfer to Serengeti National Park on Day 2
On the 2nd day of your safari, your guide will pick you up from your lodge after breakfast. Your guide will drive you from the lodge to Serengeti National Park, where you will check in and also prepare for lunch.
After lunch, you will explore the savannah plains in search of wildlife species around Serengeti national park, such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, antelopes, kudu, dik dik, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, cheetahs, giraffes, among others, during your afternoon game drive in the endless plains. You will be driven back to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park morning and afternoon game drives
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for a full day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park. You will start with a morning game drive in the national park as you search for different wildlife species like lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, among others, in the vast savannah of the Serengeti. You will have lunch after your morning game drive.
After lunch, you will engage in another game drive in Serengeti national park and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you search for wildlife species like the big 5, which include elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos, and leopards. You will return to your lodge after your full day of exploring Serengeti National Park, and your dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 4: travel to Arusha.
After an early breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, your guide will drive you through the savannah plains of the national park as you look out for different wildlife species on your way to your hotel in Arusha. On arrival in Arusha, you will check in at your hotel and prepare to have lunch.
You will spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel, where you will have dinner and overnight at Runako Lodge.
Day 5: Maasai cultural experience and safari conclusion
You will have breakfast early at your lodge as you prepare for a Maasai cultural experience at Olpopongi. You will enjoy a unique Maasai experience during your safari and get to know more about the culture. You will take part in a village tour in the Maasai village and also have a traditional lunch.
You will also participate in a walking safari in the Maasai territory, learn Maasai hunting techniques, and also about Maasai medicine and wildlife. After this experience, you will return to Arusha and your guide will drop you off at the airport, which will bring your safari to an end.
